Boothbay Harbor Hotel Policies
Deposits
All reservations require an advance deposit of one night’s lodging (payable by check, money order or credit card) within 10 days of booking.
At Check-In
From late May to mid October our check in desk is located at our sister property, Fisherman’s Wharf Inn, 22 Commercial Street, just 300 yards from The Tugboat Inn. On arrival, we request payment for room and tax for your scheduled stay. At the end of your stay, you may pay for any meal or other incidentals. We accept cash, travelers cheques, Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express. Please note: Personal checks are accepted for advance deposit only.
Changes
A change in your dates made less than 3 days prior to arrival may be subject to a $25 processing fee. Changing the arrival date ON the arrival date is subject to full forfeit of the deposit. Once your scheduled stay has been prepaid at check-in, there is no refund for unused nights should you depart earlier than planned.
Cancellations
All reservations under deposit are subject to a $25 processing fee for cancellation for any reason. Cancellation less than 3 days prior to arrival is subject to full forfeit of the deposit.
Smoking
The Tugboat Inn is entirely non-smoking. To prevent smoke from going into a hotel room (through an open door or window) and as a courtesy to our non-smoking guests, we kindly request that our smoking guests refrain from smoking just outside their rooms. Smoking is permitted in both parking lots and other areas that are well away from the buildings. A room left smelling of smoke (or ashes) will be subject to a minimum $250 cleaning fee.
Odds & Ends
Weekends & Holidays & other busy times may require a minimum stay.
Microwaves are available by advance reservation, $10 per night.

We provide one parking space per room rented.
The current Maine State Lodging Tax is 9%.
